Hello, its realy corsaire J.O.G, but I am not sure if it is so rare:). I have never seen another type of corsaire by my own eyeball, but here in Czech repuplic its normal when you talk about corsaire that you mean corsaire J.O.G.

Thanks to strange circumstances, yesterday I heared that before about twenty years, on our lake there were one "normal" corsaire, but then turned to keel version and sold away.
This coutry was under control of comunistic party and secret police for a long time and many normal things were prohibited. For people, there were a few ways how to spend some free time. On was building his own cottage, and another boat

. The reason was similar-everyone inteligent enought wanted to go somewhere, without control of police and far away of comunistic party newspapers (one of three published here). For my family sailing was inseparable part of life. My grandfather have a belouga in sixties, sailing also in Adriatic, than caranan. After hull of homebulided caranan was sold he strated to build a house (someone says he wanted to build bigger boat there

) and when everyone realized, that there is no living without sailing, they bought smaller boat to satisfy their souls.
Story of Camel begins in Brno (second city after our capital) where plywood hulls were produced to finish it at home. In 1983 Camels hull were transported to Prague, where the first owner made cover of glass epoxi composite to reinforce whole construction, finished interier and prepare boat for sailing. After one or two years of sailing he realized that boat of this size isnt enought and sold Camel to my granfather. This builder fabricated more than hundred od GRP boats by famous Polish desighter Andrej Skrzat, sailing on every water in ex Czechoslovakia, in late 80es and 90es..
My father and grandparetns were improving this boat in those years where I was a small boy (grown in corsaire

) but since he started his own bussines he didnt have much time so Camel was sailing less and less. But I foud out that sailing is as part of me and I started to sail on cadet dinghy, not to race but to train myself for corsaire. When daddy saw that I am intedrested in this sport he bought partly finished big boat with idea of family cruising....
But how time goes and money flow to his boat he realized that corsaire must be enough for me and my brother. I can say that corsaire is more than enough for me. I realy like that boat

. I think this is the main reason for me to work on Camel.
And a short story is born:)
Best regards and sorry for my english

And a leder is removable, but usefull for cruising and anchoring in rocky bays, where you can conect a gangway to it.
